File Under_ Inhouse Review
"What could be more vaporwave than a series of vignettes filtered through a scratched relic of an old steampunk stereovision gizmo that was invented for the express purpose of spying on 1980’s Tokyo from 40 years in the future? Each track flitters by like one of those fleeting bits of media that pass through your mind while waiting for a bus. It's like someone repeatedly and randomly pressed the record button on one of those old portable cassette decks while on vacation in a distant land from another time. This is the essence of vaporwave to its core. Not that it sounds exactly what you think of as vaporwave; that is for each listener to decide for themselves. What this album does do very effectively and elegantly is express what vaporwave means. In that sense, it may be the most vaporwave thing you've ever heard."
